Today, Friday, December 9, the last stage of the 4 days of the Neom Titan Desert Saudi Arabia.
8AM kicks off! 76km ahead to cross the finish line and be Finishers of one of the toughest Titans ever contested.
We set out for the first 10km with a constant climb with strong wind like every day. We start with a group, but we break down and slow down. If all goes well, we are already winners in the mixed duo category, since the other teams did not finish the stage yesterday and have been disqualified.
Then we started down a sandy track as usual, but very fun, until we reached the checkpoint, which was on a road, and started rolling next to the coast. Today we were able to enjoy more, since there was not much wind in this area today, although the hardness of the undulating terrain did not allow you to move very quickly. We continued here until kilometer 26, where we entered a rule undule track in the middle of small mountains in a spectacular landscape. We pedalled here for another 10km, until we hit the coast again with a flat and smooth track. For the first time in all the days we’ve had, there was no wind at first, but then it hit us again with crosswinds, but luckily not as tough as the previous days. Now there was less than half the race left. Today was the easiest stage we’ve had since we’ve been here.
There were only 26 km to go, we were getting closer and closer, we were enjoying the scenery with the Red Sea on the right and some small dunes on the left.
Now all that was left was to subtract kilometers and think about how happy we would be when we crossed the finish line.
The last kilometers, as it could not be otherwise, have been on rule undule, until we have already seen the camp 1km away and the Titan Desert arch. When you go on an adventure like this, all the moments you’ve had and the challenge you’ve achieved come to mind. This is life, making dreams come true!!!
This is it! A 4 hours stage and Finishers of the Neom Titan Desert Saudi Arabia and 🥇 absolute in the mixed duo category!!! 💪🏻
